All the hay in George, Ellensburg area I heard had got rained on their first cutting. So lots of hay buyers have been coming further east to get hay since all of the hay over here didnt get rained on.
Hay is cheper over here, and we still have locals that complain about the prices. LOL
On the coast we paid $200 a ton and that was just last year.

We are not set up for delivery at this time, but we are hoping to in the future. How much hay do you need?

I was thinking like two ton. That's all that would be able to fit between my truck and horse trailer. Now my fiance says that more of it should go into the trailer rather than the truck because of the ratio of load vs. what my truck would be pulling. We would probably have to leave really early thurs. am. It'd be about a 6 hr trip one way. So, I don't know what week would be good for you.

We are available all week, mornings are fine. Our second cutting isnt up yet, but we have plenty of the first cutting in the hay barn. The grass/alfalfa is just gorgeous hay. Do you want to wait until our second cutting alfalfa is up since that is what you were asking about, we have some alfalfa from our first cutting inside the barn, but the second cutting is just a tad better.

First cutting here in the Quincy, George area did get rain, but the second is beautiful........... but you guys.... once again.... buy it now if you can whereever you can......... you will be glad you did. I would hate to see anyone make a six hour trip and spend that much gas money..... but do what you have to do....... there are farmers here in George that will sell out of their stack for less......

I might be picking up three ton now. My fiance is trying to see what he can do about borrowing a semi truck and flat bed trailer. He works for Swift transportation. He used to drive, now he works in the office as a planner. He still holds his CDL, so he'd be driving over-IF he can do this otherwise we will have to figure something out. Keep in touch on when would be a good time, when the hay is ready. THANKS

JJ, If your hubby/fiance is gonna drive and you have any room after yer three ton, I'd be willing to pick up a ton since I only have room left for about 30 bales.

Jay we got most of our second cutting in the barn. And are working on baling another field now. We also have timothy hay for sale at $90 a ton, really nice grass hay in the barn. If you have a flat bed trailer we have a bale squeeze and can load it with our tractor.

We just sent off a sample of our alfalfa for testing. Should have the levels back end of next week. It was cut right around bloom so it shouldnt be too hot for horses.
My horses will not eat the timothy hay, and we have about 30 tons to sell.

I'm looking for a hay dealer in Eastern Washington. My hubby and I just purchased a trailer and we can haul about 4 tons. I'm hoping I can find one closer to Ellensburg area if possible. I live in Western Washington - in Graham.
If you have a contact for a hay dealer I'd sure be interested!!
Thank you!
