I don't know if any of you are interested in a kids safe horse, but I may pass Roses off if the PERFECT home came along. I've only been graining her a couple times a week and she's keeping her weight up good, but she could use a bit more. She's the calmest horse I've ever owned and is a TOTAL lover.
She does VERY well on pasture and with other horses. I've had kids around her and she's done VERY well. She's very cautious and very gentle. I've been told that she's been used as a kids beginner horse, although I haven't ridden her as I don't think she'd like the weight of adults. But with kids, I really think she'd be great.
If someone is interested, please let me know.

get some under saddle pics with a rider and a good description put together, I would be happy to pass it on to whatever 4H people, or riding club people I might find looking.

I would think you'd be able to find a good 4-H home for her, Steph. You may want to contact your extension office there in Eugene and see if there are any clubs who may be willing to spread the word about her, or perhaps there are some reputable children's camps in need?
For that matter, a lot of kids camps lease their horses for the summer. That may be a nice temporary home for her during the summer while you try to find another home for her (be it with you or someone else.)

Yeah there was a camp that was looking to lease a good kids horse because they work with handicap children.. but I told him about roses and he said that they want something a whole lot younger, bummer. So we'll see what I can find. I may have a friend (the one who helped rescue her, who may take her till I can take her back. We'll see.
