I'm actually considering one of those western-type endurance saddles, the ones w/o horns.

I have a cordura (with a horn). I have a saddle bag that hooks up to the back of my saddle and one that goes on the horn. It's just that I still like to jump over things on the trail. That dern horn gets in the way.

I'm actually looking for something like that! I want a cheap saddle that I don't have to worry about, I've got a 2 yr old that I'm going to be starting, and a rescue horse that I don't know much about yet, so want a saddle that I'm not going to get worried about if it hits the dirt!

My girlfriend is looking for one for a 5 year old appy mare. This horse would take an average size QH saddle.
