Shasta Needs A home! She is a 11 hand Hackney type pony. The vet thinks she is in her mid to late teens. She came to us a year and a half ago as a rescue. The poor thing was skinny, wormy, recovering from rain rot and in desperate need of a dental. When we brought her home she was so scared of us that I couldn't even touch her, even with treats. Since then I have worked with her on a daily basis and she will come to the fence to greet me but is still afraid of strangers. She knows how to "stack up" in a halter horse pose so I wonder how much abuse she has suffered in the past. We worked on ground driving last summer and she did OK but she wants to keep one eye on you the whole time so she may do better with blinkers on. I have spent a lot of time and money on her and just want her to go to a good home. My 10 year relationship with my boyfriend is ending and the horse property belongs to him so I need to downsize. She would make a good companion animal or if you have the Patience she could be a fancy driving pony. When she gets excited her knees almost hit her chin a the trot. She comes with her halters and blankets, If you want her synthetic harness and or her leather bridle I could give to you for $50 which is less than I paid for the bridle. She is in Orting right now but I will be moving my horses to Maple Valley soon. I you are interested send me a pm ~ Thanks ~ Jen

Sorry I left out one important detail She is not a typical calm pony. She is high strung like an Arab. If you have any experience with purebred Hackney's you will know what I mean!
