This guy is cute. She wants him gone by tomorrow and would be willing to drop him off along the route she mentions below.
"I was told that he has 3 rides on him, "I doubt it". I would say that he is absolutely green. We have haltered, tied and brushed him. He does not set back on the rope but will so side to side when he gets scared. He does not lead well. He doesn't try to drag you, he just stops. He did fine with the brushing, we used a quirt to touch his legs. He is better with his fronts than his backs. You can pick up the fronts for second or 2. The backs, he kicked out when we touched them.
He was trailered to me which was probably a 2 hour ride. He was with the older gelding that I am taking to Pomeroy WA tomorrow. Challis was in the front of the stock trailer without a halter, so not tied. The other gelding was in the back with a halter, but still not tied. Neither one seemed upset or sweaty from the ride. Challis did get excited when we took Dakota out. He is very attached to Dakota. Dakota is dominate and I think Challis looks to him for guidance. That is why I am hoping to find a home for Challis ASAP, so that I don't have to worry about him when I take Dakota away.
Also, when I got these boys, they didn't even have names. These are the names that I gave them.
I am headed to Pomeroy WA tomorrow. Headed from Meridian ID, headed on the interstate to Pendleton OR. I will then be going through Walla Walla to get to Pomeroy."
PM me for her email address if you know of anyone who would be interested.
