Tammy, I'm sure it's a relief to you to find them new homes.

Lordchaser, I don't remember their names, but their number is on the first post of this discussion. They live off Davis and Short rd. If you drive by you'll see it in back.
It sure is a relief!!! I have good news on the white one, she has a tendon that has locked up and will be an easy and inexpensive fix. The person that is taking her is getting an awesome and beautiful horse.

Tammy,
I haven't logged on all weekend, and just saw your post! I am so sorry you got roped into these horses. She told me they were nice too! Yeah right! How did you even get a halter on the white mare? Everytime I slowly raised the bridle she freaked out!!! I noticed her stiff back leg too. That was another reason I didn't get her. My ten year old daughter was crushed, she really liked her, but just too many problems. She did let me pick up her front feet, and we pulled a bunch of shedding hair off of her. She loved to be petted.
I know the girl, she went to school with my sister, so I don't want to bad mouth her too bad. She is on my myspace page afterall! She told me they had the horses since winter, and that they bought them from an old man. Maybe she is full of lies! When I went there, they didn't even have any hay, just pellets, and dirty water. I felt so sorry for them, I wanted to buy them just to get them some feed, but my husband said NO!
The Pinto mare is the one that about ripped my arms off when I grabbed on to her halter. I tried to hold on, but she kept rearing up, and tried to strike out at me. That is when I let go, and said, well..."lets just look at the white one!"
Then the hermaphidite one, I couldn't even touch it. I don't know how you guys got it loaded! She made it sound like it went through a bunch of fences, and that it was all cut up. I am sorry, if I said anything bad about you guys. I didn't mean to! Just going off of what she told me in her email. Not even sure why she emailed me about it!
I know that the mini is a stud, at least that is what they told me. I think they had a goat too, didn't they? Some people should just not have animals, especially if you are not going to take care of them! Makes me so mad!

The guy is the one that did most of the talking to us, she is the one I talked to on the phone. She almost acted like she didn't want anything to do with it. When I paid for them I wrote up a bill of sale and she made him sign it and stated that this was his deal. They said they got them from a friend who was moving and couldn't keep them so they dropped them off there. The white mare is actually pretty easy to handle for us. I don't know what the situation was with her there except for the fact that the women told me that they didn'y like cattle prods and that sort of scared me. I don't think you said anything to make us sound bad, so don't worry about that!!! The hermaphredite was all cut up but our vet came out as soon as she got my message and took the time to get her loaded safely and basically told our friend that she really wasn't worth stitching up because of her being a hermaphredite she probably would probably never calm down to be a good trail horse or anything else. I guess you have to remove their testicles as if the were a stallion. The vet said that doesn't always make them calmer either. After all of this I am sure that If one of my horses had a hermaphredite baby I would put it down ASAP. Thanks for posting!!!

Well it's a good thing to know about the hermapherdites... because while I knew it happens in humans, I just didn't ever think that it would happen in horses or other animals, but of course it does! It's just something you don't think about. And I think putting them down would be the most humane thing to do since they will never have a traquil life with those messed up hormones.

Just have to add that we had a hermapherdite puppy come into our work today. Very strange it was a pug puppy they got at a pet store.

Hermapherdite puppy wow and I bet they paid an arm and a leg at the pet store they especially for a pug. Did they people already know it was or were they surprised? It is sad to hear of horses being treated that way and sheesh a cattle prod that IS scary. Well I hope things work out for the best for those poor horses. Oh by the way I live in Eastern Wa. but if you look at the Craigslist for the Seattle area there are tons of horses for sale over there I have seen some really pretty ones for pretty cheap just an FYI but now I know to look further into that sort of thing people can be such buttheads.

It wasn't as obvious when they first got it, so I was told.

Hey Tammy,
Just wondering if you ended up keeping this mare, and if she turned out to be a great horse or not.
