We have had Bandit from birth. He is big (17 hands + -), Black, kind, 16 yrs and trained English and western. I am looking for a family with an experienced horse person who would like another horse. Because of his size he is intimidating to inexperienced riders but he likes people and is willing to please. With an experienced rider to take him through new experiences he would be OK for an inexperienced rider once he was confident.
I kept him at a small stable near the house and he was very good with all people from 7yrs to 60yrs in the arena. He also was ridden by some mentally challenged. His gates are very smooth for such a big guy. He has been ridden in the trails but not a lot. When he was taken out in the trails he did all that was asked of him with little hesitation, he even went over the wooden bridge.
He does have one issue, he bullies other horses he is pastured with and must be pastured alone. This was why he was sent home. The stable didn’t have a small area fenced to set aside for him.
We have 4 horses and since my husband had back surgery Bandit is not ridden at all. Price is negotiable it is more important for him to go to a good home.

Rhonda,
You'd be better off email these people because I don't think they frequent this board.
