AQHA RIDE PROGRAM
ELLENSBURG, WASHINGTON
HOST AFFILIATE: Peninsula Mounted Search and Rescue & Washington State Quarter Horse Association
DATE: June 22-24, 2007
LOCATION: Springwood Ranch, Ellensburg, WA
FEES: $125 per participant – includes five meals
$60 per participant – Saturday evening dinner and Sunday breakfast only
Preregistration deadline is June 18, 2007. No on-site registration or refunds. Ride limited to 200 participants.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS/FEE: Optional poker hand - $10 per hand. All participants will receive a ticket for the saddle drawing. Additional tickets will be available for purchase. Saddle provided by K & S Saddlery.
DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: With over 4,000 acres to ride, Springwood Ranch is a great place to spend the weekend trail riding. Participants can fish in the Yakima River, play tennis, shoot baskets and take part in a friendly game of putt putt golf. This Ride will benefit the Peninsula Mounted Search & Rescue unit which is a volunteer service funded by citizens and corporate sponsorships.
Start out the weekend with registration on Friday at 3 p.m. Later, enjoy a BBQ dinner and entertainment. Breakfast is served Saturday morning at 7 a.m. The first ride leaves base camp at 8 a.m. Take a ride on a guided adventure or enjoy riding on your own at your own pace. Return at noon for lunch and demonstrations. Take part in an afternoon ride, or experience all the ranch has to offer for non-riders. Wine and cheese party will start at 5 p.m. followed by a BBQ steak dinner. After a great meal, there will be a silent and live auction and dance.
Sunday, cowboy breakfast served from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Participants can enjoy one last ride before checking out. Everyone must vacate the property by noon on Sunday.
DIRECTIONS: West or East on I-90 – Take exit 101 west of Ellensburg. Turn north off the ramp onto Thorpe Highway and travel 2.5 miles to East Taneum Road. Turn left and travel to the Party Barn sign. Make a right turn and proceed to the Party Barn.
RENTAL HORSES: No
STALLS AVAILABLE: Limited number of stalls available. Please call (253) 225-2226 to confirm availability.
FACILITIES AVAILABLE: Showers, restrooms, water for horses and trailer tie-up is permitted.
HORSE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Washington State requirements.
