I am going to ask for the world, but I figure it never hurts to get the word out:)
I'm looking for a dead broke, bomb proof, monkeys can poke in the eye, 12 - 16 year old gelding. Right around or under 15 hands. I'm looking for the guy that non-horse people would feel comfortable on the trail. This horse would be Gia's starter as she ramps up for Topper. Then he would be for hubby (so bulky is good) and Vince.
I also am looking for a horse that needs a home, you know, the one that used to babysit the grandkids, or raised a family of 8 kids and now sits in the field, pasture, stall just wanting to go for a ride. Free would be perfect (money would go for food, new tack, vet, shoes etc..).
I am not in any hurry. I just have a sad empty stall, one mare that is a day or two away from learning to bark and dig holes along with the other dogs and a daughter that would love to go out on the trail with me. I have my hands full with Topper, so this would really need to be a horse that does not become a project.
If you know of someone that has one of these golden eggs sitting in the pasture, let me know. I know there are folks out there that don't have the time or heart to do the "sales" thing. They are looking for a home they can trust and know their horse will be taken care of and loved. That would be us.
As long as I'm asking for the moon, a free 16' Circle Y equitation show seat saddle in medium and full quarter horse bars with a matching breatplate, cinch and headstall would be nice ;D Be nice with your replies, please:)

Check out this rescue site, I browse it often. www.soshorses.org/DEF-Horses.aspAlso check their forum, if you find a horse of interest. Sometimes people will help "sponsor" the adoption fee.

The enumclaw auction is coming up Sunday, you might check it out... prices are still in the lower ranges for even registered riding horses that might need just a little tlc.
I think high horse at the last couple hasn't been over 2k, most are going for less than 500!
