September 25-26 Northwest WA Fairgrounds Lynden WA
Clinicians:
Keith Danielson Horsemanship with an emphasis on trail. Keith has been competing quite successfully in trail challenge events, including the Extreme Cowboy Race last year where he finished in the top ten. If you're wanting to hone both your horsemanship skills as well as gain confidence on the trail, this is for you!
Curt Storbakken and his Hydra Bull teach cutting horse basics. Not only did Clinton Anderson feature Curt's hydra bull on an episode of Down Under Horsemanship, but Ken McNabb rode with Curt to improve his cutting skills for a couple of years, eventually purchasing a hydra bull of his own. Two time Reserve World Champion Bobby Nelson is also a big believer in the hydra bull. Should your horse be looking for something new and exciting to do, this is it!

Sorry I am not gonna be able to make it up there. I really need to get a load of gravel in one of my horse areas. Hubby won't do it alone.

Hey, gravel is good! Though I was a basket case going into it, by Saturday evening things were flowing smoothly, and Sunday was a bit less hectic. It was a pretty decent turnout for the clinicians and competitions, and a lot of folks were totally impressed with how well everything turned out. Only shortfall was advertising...not enough money in my pocket to get much done, so attendance wasn't what I'd really like to see. From a vendor standpoint, it could have been better attended, especially on Sunday. Next year I hope to have a Cowboy Mounted Shooting clinic. Who's in?

Will have to help you with ideas on advertising. I'll start my brain-ok after I wake up tomorrow!
