I want to try a full cheek snaffle with a good size mouth piece, and would prefer pinchless. Haven't found the right bit yet and that is one we haven't tried but would like to. I don't mind it it's been used as long as it is in good condition. If you are looking to sell one and wouldn't mind us checking it out that would be cool.
(After next week though cuz stary is having her wolf teeth pulled, that might solve some bit problems on it's own.)

I use full cheeks and they work fine for me. Although I am not looking into getting rid of my two I just want to say that I think that would be a good move. Dels sells them for a reasonable price.

One of the dels up my way has one. I was thinking of trying it. Have you used that kind. One of my friends told me that the larger the mouth piece the softer.
It's kinda wierd, i think, that in enumclaw i can only find 2 the one at dels and one with a twisted/braided mouth piece.

Have you ever tried a KK bit? They are very soft on their mouth. My horse loves his. I also found that the loose ring bits are softer than the D-rings, etc. I do have a full cheek snaffle, but the mouth piece is somewhat thin.

Aside from the fact that the horse part of the auction makes me sick, i'm glad star never made it that far, i get to work. it is a rare occasion for me to get a sunday off.

My Stary gets her wolf teeth out monday and hopefully that will help a lot. That's probably part of why she didn't perform how her last owners wanted her too. Maybe someone should have cared enough about her to take care of her instead of blaming her for not being good enough. Anyway i get upset over how easily some of her problems could have been avoided if someone would have taken care of her to make her what they wanted instead of asuming they could buy her and no work would be needed, that's not how it is for anything in life, especially an animal.

I would think a twisted braided mouth piece would be a bit more severe. The only two types of bits I use are Full cheek snaffles and tom thumb bit. I have no problems with either. Good luck in what ever choice you make.

If you want to try one before you buy one, you can borrow my full cheek. sounds cool if you don't mind. I'm hoping to get on in a week or 2 however long it takes her mouth to heal after tommorrow. Then once all that is done i sould have a pony ready for anything. Her daily workouts are getting her in shape so i think she'll for sure be ready this fall ish for trails. [glow=red,2,300]cross your fingers[/glow] have you ever been to the barn? you could come see her bow, it's getting better.
