One of my brothers lives in Madras, OR and has 200 acres of hay. He just brought me a couple sample bales over the weekend. I am having 22 tons delivered in ten days to two weeks. 15 tons will be sold at the house. The bales average 85 lbs and will be sold for 12.50 per bale. No minimum required. If everything sells well then we will bring in another truck load. Second cutting will be higher. I am currently paying 13.50 per bale from the local supplier and this hay is much nicer with no weeds or big stems. It is Orchard Grass with a slight mix of alfalfa, pefect for horses.

When? Can't buy a lot at a time. I have my paychecks budgeted, but that's a sweet deal.

The hay is grown in Madras, Oregon. My brother is a farmer with 200 acres of Orchard grass and Orchard grass alfalfa mix. This will be the first load but he did bring me sample bales that my horses loved . www.twinfirsranch.net is my website adress and you can see by my horses' appearance I know what quality feed is. I have a truck scheduled for within the next 7 to 10 days. Our target date for the truck arrival would be a early saturday or sunday evening the 19th or 20th but this is susceptible to change. The trailer will be unloaded by a squeeze machine and the hay set aside on pallets. With proper preparation I beleive by the end of two days what I don't need for future use will be sold. I am contacting people now so I have an idea how much hay would be going immediatley. The responses are overwhelming. We are taking names and numbers via e-mail and selling the hay by first come first serve. If you have hay reserved and do not claim on the appointed time it will be released to the next person on the list. I will send pictures of the hay when I get some from my brother Lynn in the next few days, possibly sooner. Please return via e-mail message your name, phone number and quantity of bales you would be looking to pick up immediately (no longer than two days after delivery), as soon as I have a delivery date I will let you know and help to schedule your pick up. Thats 300.00 a ton.... probably not going to get any better price wise... grass over here on this side is selling for 250.00 a ton, and that is from the farmer.....so you would still have to pay for fuel.
