I am looking for 2 different horses.
1st - a friend contacted me and has a 13 year old son that really wants a palamino horse for trail riding. They already have a place to board (aunties house) with acreage and a barn. He wants a horse no taller then 15 hands, must be broke to ride, trailers and loads. He is dead set he wants a palamino, but doesn't care if it is mare or gelding.
2nd - we are looking for an older broke horse for hubby for light trail riding. Hubby is 6 foot and 250. Would like at least 15 hands if not taller. Would not be ran or trotted - just leasurely riding. He is partial to black horses - but by no means picky at all - just healthy, sound and b-r-o-k-e.
We have a 25 year old mare and a 4 year old mare now.
Thanks Allison

What is it with you people looking for broke horses, anyway? Broken is no good...you need staples and glue and...well, probably duct tape to keep them together. ;D

We have a black quarter horse we might be interested in selling. Definitely big enough, well trained, but has his right brained moments at times. He's done alright with my husband who totally doesn't know how to ride. We had him for sale on here a while back, then decided to keep him and ride him, then didn't ride him much. He's a sweetheart. Been in the mountains, team penning once, parade once, stuff like that. He's not an old dud, but he's a good boy for a mellow rider. Loads better than any horse I've ever known. Trims, shoes, stands tied, probably would bathe but I don't do that. Fly sprays with no halter on. Gentle leader type in the pasture. Loves mares, has a tendency to be a little herd-bound. We've taken him away from the mares, down the road with another horse, and he's slow as molasses. We prefer to go trail riding with him, he steps right out on the trail. I'll have to get some updated pictures of him.

I went out just now and took a couple pics. He's not giving me the evil eye here, he had a bad fly, but I thought he looked nice other than that: His QH butt: I have more pics if you want them. He does have the spooky streak sometimes though, so it might not be a good match. Usually he just plants his feet and looks at the thing, but once he did a little spin and my husband came off (stirrups too short, bad seat, not really Mack's fault, but it did happen).

Andrea - how much are you asking for this boy? I am sorry that I didn't see this earlier and respond.
How tall is he?

Jeez, my husband cannot make up his mind on this horse. He says he doesn't really want to sell him right away, but if he did he'd ask $2000. Mack is around 15.2 hands.
