$2 a bale. Small, lightweight bales. Meadow foxtail hay, harvested late. Smells sweet, not much green. Stored under cover. Some of the bottom bales may have some mold but I think I set most of it on tarps or pallets. Not perfect but could be used to stretch your good hay or just get you by a little while. 100-150 bales. You load and haul. 208-875-0587

Thanks Tracey, yep, that's it. It looks a lot like timothy but it matures a lot faster. Actually it's usually preferred for pasture, not hay, but we don't graze it all down so it gets cut as hay.
Susie, what's the type of foxtail you mentioned? I've never heard of it.
I'm pretty sure I have all of this sold already. A guy came all the way from Kennewick for 40 bales today and a lady is coming up to get the rest tomorrow, unless for some reason she backs out. Thank goodness, I can use the cash... It looks like we have more vet bills coming for Scout.

Bummer, we don't have any left! I was just deleting all my ads... Sorry! It sold fast, then I only had about 18 bales left, then my kids got in there and made a "fort" and broke a bunch of bales, I was so mad! So now I only have a few bales left, enough to feed mine at night until they're out on pasture 24/7.

Do you know of anyone else down there that has some decent horse hay?? I really need some and really do not want to purchase the same that I purchased last time. I am down to 6 bales - enough until Sunday ..... but I will buy from him if I have to!

I don't know of anyone else, unless maybe Intermountain Feed in Lewiston has some... That would be a long drive for you guys.
I could sell you 6 bales (maybe a few more) if you want, but it's really not worth the drive. It's edible, but probably not much nutritional value since it was harvested late.

yah, for the drive it wouldn't be worth it unless we were already going through that way. But I do appriciate the offer.
I have been looking today for hay, as I really need some tommorrow, as I only have enough till Sunday - and either they don't answer their phone or return the message or the prices are through the ROOF!!! But hopefully we can find something tonight otherwise I will be driving to Rockford tommorrow for 30 bales and it will cost me more in gas to pick them up - LOL!

Sorry to be getting back to you so late - used to post alot and saw this - heres my $.02. Do you have any access to hay pellets or hay cubes? I was able to stretch 1 ton of hay from August til now because I used hay pellets and hay cubes. I do only have one gelding but, he is a hard keeper and has been gettin ALOT of workouts lately. I hope my idea gives you some more avenues to look into. Best of luck to ya!
