OK, doc recommended a different joint supplement for Stormy. So I have over half a container of Flex + sitting here. This is not the cheap stuff. This is the Large 8.6# container that runs $95-$100.
Again, nothing wrong with it, doc just wants Stormy on chondroitin. FlexPlus has Natural Glo, Glucosamine, MSM and Yucca. So all the good stuff to promote healthy joints.
Doc says I can continue to add this along with the chondroitin, but Stormy gets so much crud in his grain right now it is hard enough to get him to eat it, lol.
So anyhow, I paid about $100 after sales tax, and this container is just over half full. So I am asking $35 if anyone wants it.
Product name: Absorbine, FLEX+

I would take it... but dont know how or when I could come get it.... I would like to try that on this gelding we have here. He needs something and we are just gonig to have to try some things to see what works best.
What kinds of signs did you see in Stormy that brought joints supplements into his life? Did you try other stuff before Flex ....... what does the new stuff do or have that makes the Doc want to change to it? I know sometimes things work for one horse and not for another, or sometimes something just quits working.
The price you are asking is very reasonable esp. for someone like me who is just trying different things to see if I can make a change in this horse.
Right now I have him on some super good feed, but he needs his teeth floated. He eats alone now and is getting beet pulp along with his grain..... but he still needs something becuase he just doesn't move right.
take care tiff... and if I get over that way I would gladly buy that from you. If someone else pops in here and wants it... go for it! Love ya...susie

Well first I noticed when I lifted his hind left, there was a small pop or clicking sound. He hever has favored it. But then I have noticed that when he stretches out to urinate, he won't set the leg down the same as his hind right. The hind right stays planted and the left is kinda popped up on his toe. And he is just slowing down a bit.
As far as this different stuff. My vet is a big fan of Cosequin, just that not everyone will buy it due to its high cost. The Flex+ is great but doesn't have any chondroitin in it. Has all the other stuff so will help with joint problems also, but I really respect my vets opinion, so when he recommended Coseqiun I went and switched.

Thanks for the insight. I think this gelding is going to be ok.. if I can just get through a few things with him... he deserves it.

No prob Susie.
This is no longer for sale. Read on the back on the container that it can also be used for other animals. Has the serving amount for animals under 100#. We have been wanting to get Rocky on some joint supps(MSM), so I took the container to work with me today and the drs there all say that it would be fine to use on Rocky.
So I will be keeping it :-)

Ohhh yea. I still had a lot left compared to the horse dosage. I think the stuff will go bad before I use it all(that is, if it does go bad). I have TONS at the doggy dosage :-)
