Does anyone know of a retirement-type board option in the Boise/Treasure Valley area? I have two older TB's I'd love to find reliable, full-care board for, but all I really want is good pasture (with actual grass in it) with shelter and feed as needed. I'm struggling to find something that doesn't come with all the amenities I don't need (barn, arena, etc.) that drive up the price. I also need to keep the two together (one mare, one gelding); many places want to separate them into the mare herd and gelding herd.
Anyone know of such a place? TIA, Meredith

I live over here in Payette, and your best bet would be to put an add in the paper stating what your looking, something like "pasture wanted for 2 older TB's" or something like that. Its really hard to find pasture around the valley!!

Thanks for the suggestion; I might try that depending on how the place I just found works out. It's *almost* everything I was looking for... except I clean the stalls and feed in the evenings (they cover the morning feeding for me). Since the horses are currently spending most of their time in the pasture, I haven't had much stall cleaning to do. It's amazing how land is disappearing in the valley right now... wish I had the money to buy some of that ground!! Mer
