I have a very nice handmade saddle for sale, listed w/pics on Craig's list (Quality Saddle) Or I can send pics to you. This was made in the SFCC Saddle Making Class under the direction of Jesse Smith, who is a nationally known saddle maker. Older saddle, but lightly used, well made and solid in great shape. Full double rigging, semi quarter bars (but it fit our quarter horses very well) rust colored suede seat and spot carving. Probably a ladies saddle, as the carving is wild roses and they are quilted into the seat also. My daughter used this as a parade and show saddle, as near as I know it has never been roped on. Am asking $$625 plus shipping (if necessary).

Whatever happened to the SFCC Saddle Making class? I had always hoped to attend that course.

The class is no more. Jesse has moved to Colorado and the last I heard from him he is only taking one student at a time. So there won't be many of these "student saddles" available. Any one that knows of Jesse knows the quality of work he turns out, and these "student saddles" were made under his supervision.

Would you be interested in a trade? I have a three year old Arabian mare for sale. I don't have the time to train her. E-mail me @ drblnk@aol.com if interested. I also have an Arabian colt that I need to sell also.
