In Potlatch Idaho. Mack needs to find a home where he gets more attention. He SO wants to load up in the trailer every time I take my horse somewhere. He is not a timid beginner's horse, but he does know everything he needs to know. Soft, supple, leg cues, jumps in the trailer, great with hoof trimming, stands tied, etc, etc. Everything you expect a good horse to do. Had cutting and reining training earlier in life. EXCELLENT mountain horse, sure footed as could be, and plows up over and through anything. Went to a trainer before we bought him, the trainer was going to market him for my sister. He said Mack doesn't need any more training, just needs to be ridden. He knows it all and would be very happy being ridden more often. Has been team penning, didn't like the crowd, but it was his first time, so that's understandable. He is absolutely one of the smartest horses I've ever known, and loves human interaction. He likes to put his nose in your hair. Tickles. He really is a neat boy. I just realized I'm not sure how tall he is. Probably 15 hands to 15.2. Built like a tank, although the pictures don't really seem to show it. Pedigree here: www.allbreedpedigree.com/midnight+mac+attack$1500 firm. Email me at andreav@turbonet.com for fastest reply.

Mack is still for sale. Not his fault, I just haven't been advertising him very well up until now. $1500. I'd like to see him in a new home soon where he'll be used.

I love this horse Andrea, wish we were further down the road in life to take him. If I can remember right, I think I know of his sire, seen him a few times.

Yeah, I think his sire was pretty popular. I know he has bloodlines from the King Ranch. I just don't know that much about bloodlines, but I do recognize some big names there. I wish you could have him too! He really is a neat horse. I hope we find him someone who will really love him.
I should add that we'd consider trades or part trades or whatever. I need a horse trailer, a good saddle for Tonka, good hay delivered and stacked, maybe another horse, one that is just mellow as can be and puts up with anything.

Andrea, do you think he would be good for a beginner?

It really depends. I think he'd be better suited for someone with some experience. If he were being ridden regularly I think he'd be fine for a beginner. My husband is a TOTAL beginner, you'd cringe if you saw him ride... They did pretty well together the few times we went out. Mack did spook and spin once and my husband came off. Not really Mack's fault, other than he's old enough that he shouldn't be spooking. A tarp flapped in the wind and it was a cold, windy, rainy day... If my husband had a decent seat nothing bad would have happened. So... I don't know. If you're a confident beginner with some knowledge I think it would be fine, especially if you're planning on riding out with other good horses. He'd be a good horse to take lessons on and learn, he knows a lot. One trainer who rode him thought he'd be good for an 11 year old girl. I personally wouldn't put my 11 year old on him unless he was having a really good day and we were in the round pen. But my 11 year old doesn't know as much as she thinks she does... I don't know if my babbling helps answer the question... Hope so.
